Number one Non-Music Festival in the UK in 2019, the Riverside Food and Drink Festival will be arriving at Wetherby Ings on 6th-7th August, 2022. Hosting a family friendly celebration of international cuisine, drink and live entertainment. At the heart of the festival is a celebration of local chefs, restaurants, producers, live music, family entertainment and independent businesses.
Internationally inspired street food traders from across Yorkshire will be serving up speciality dishes all weekend, including Greek, Lebanese, Indian, Chinese, Jamaican, and Italian, among others. The festival will also feature an expansive Artisan Market, hosting over 60 independent local businesses, food producers and artists. A variety of both sweet treats and savoury goods will be on offer, including cakes, brownies, cannoli, fudge, spices and cheese, alongside handmade jewellery, candles, homeware and soaps.
An extensive programme of attractions is set to entertain audiences of all ages, with local artists and musicians taking to the stage for a packed line up of soul, blues, pop, jazz and rock. Alongside live music will be family entertainment, magicians and street performances, as well as children’s arts and crafts activities, a funfair, and inflatable land.
Promising to be a firm attendee highlight, The Cookery Theatre, hosted by Leeds Cookery School, will be showcasing an incredible display of talent from local professional chefs with demonstrations taking place all weekend.
The Riverside Food and Drink Festival will be supporting a variety of charities over the weekend, having already raised over £45,000 for the Mind Charity across previous festivals.
